Apera AI is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager – someone skilled at hunting down new business within the automation industry. You have a track record of consistently meeting sales goals for at least 2+ years.

The successful candidate can work effectively in a remote role located within the territory for a fast-growing company. The role will cover the territory of Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. Ideally, the successful candidate would reside in Texas.

Your role will include:

  • Develop, maintain, and expand business relationships with end-users, OEMs, integrators, and partners (distributors and certified system integrators.)
  • Produce qualified leads with realistic dates to close.
  • Customer service and management of client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage accounts and expand business relationships.
  • Present to customers based on their requirements and work with the applications team to determine the best fit for the solution.

Required qualifications:

  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in an engineering or technical field, or a background in technical sales with a non-technical degree.
  • 2+ years of previous sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the manufacturing automation field.
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge and relationships in the manufacturing automation world.
  • Candidates who possess previous automation sales experience will be given preference.
